On January 25th, 2013, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that a high-profile delegation from the authority and Dubai Supreme Council of Energy is visiting China to discuss areas of cooperation in the energy sector with their counterparts in the country.

The visit follows an invitation from the Chinese Government and aims to strengthen cooperation and joint efforts with the Chinese organizations working in the field of energy, electricity and water, and review their achievements in renewable energy and the reduction of losses on electricity networks.

In addition to others visits, the delegation will tour the Changzhou Solar City and review best practices in this field, especially with DEWA preparing to launch the first phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park by the end of this year.
